The newly-established Alexandra Road outlet is just one of three famed restaurants under the Himawari belt (the other two restaurants are located at SAFRA Mount Faber and Neil Road), led by the Tokyo-born business guru Yoichi Nakaoka. He doesn’t hesitate in importing only the finest and freshest ingredients for his menu, which includes importing seasonal specialities from the popular Tsukiji Market twice a week. If you are unfamiliar with the robatayaki concept, a culinary treat awaits for you. You get to sit around a grill counter, similar to a sushi counter, and choose their meals from the displayed fresh items in front of you – a fresh alternative to the idea of teppanyaki. You can also ask the chef to make choice recommendations for you if you don’t know what might satisfy your palate. Furthermore, their a la carte buffet menu has gained wide fan fare. Satisfy your cravings with Japanese favourites like sushi, sashimi, hand rolls, grilled dishes, deep fried food and more!



The popular Shabu Shabu is a culinary hot pot treat. Taking slices of tender and succulent cuts of meat (sirloin, pork, chicken) or pieces of fresh vegetables (white cabbage, carrot, mushroom, spring onion), and coovk it in a pot of tasty boiling broth. This dish gets its name from the swishing motions you use to cook the ingredients. Dip your cooked item into Himawari’s original ponzu sauce or original goma (sesame) sauce for a wonderful burst of flavours. You can choose to enjoy your Shabu Shabu with udon (noodle) or zosui (porridge).
